How do I choose my meal preference on British Airways?
When can I order my special meal?
- Request Kosher meals on flights at least 48 hours before your flight departs with the exception of London Heathrow which can be requested up to 24 hrs before departure.
- Request all other special meals at least 24 hours before your flight departs.
Can you take your own food on British Airways?
You can take solid foods like sandwiches, biscuits, fruit, nuts, etc. on board but the same restrictions for liquids apply to liquid foods, e.g. drinks, soups, sauces, jam or jelly (see guidance above).
How do I know if a meal is served on my flight?
You can find this out just by looking at the length of your flight, and the time of day you will be flying. Flights less than 2 hours will only have a snack/beverage service. Some airlines have meals on short domestic flights, but you could be charged for it.
Does BA serve free food?
On long haul, British Airways meals are included in the price of your ticket. Expect a four-course meal, followed by a lighter snack service just before landing at your destination. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are also free.
