After an “intense” discussion about Years & Years’s future as a band, they decided to remain intact for Palo Santo’s release and subsequent tour, which ran through late 2019.

Why did years and years split?
Alexander, 31, told the PA news agency the split came after the group began to disagree creatively “more and more”. He said: “It had been on the cards for a really long time, in many ways, because we had changed so much as a band.

How was Years and Years discovered?
Years & Years formed in 2010, they are Olly Alexander, Mikey Goldsworthy & Emre Turkmen. The band formed when Emre and Mikey met on a website made for finding band members. Olly only joined after they heard him singing in the shower and liked his voice!
Why did Mikey and Emre leave Years and Years?
