Moor Hall was first recorded in 1282 and in 1533 it was acquired by Peter Stanley of Bickerstaffe, who built the present manor house. The site was acquired by Andy & Tracey Bell in 2015 and has undergone a multi-million pound renovation.

Our History The original Moor Hall was built in the 1500s and was home to Bishop Vesey who frequently entertained royalty here. We understand that the hall was rebuilt again in the 1800s and that the current Moor Hall was built by Colonel Ansell of brewery fame in 1903 and he lived here with his family and 10 servants.
