A 777 charge has more energy than the exact same load of Pyrodex. It’s in the tables at Hodgdon. I’d rather shoot loose powder but your setup will do just fine. Loose powder yes, pellets are made to be equivalent.

Where Pyrodex pellets are pressed into shape from black powder and Pyrodex RS, Triple Seven pellets are made from straight Triple Seven, and are harder to ignite. For what it is worth, I’ve personally found Pyrodex pellet loads to be more consistent, and more accurate.
Should I use triple Se7en or Pyrodex?
Pyrodex is more corrosive, so you should always make sure you clean the rifle at the end of the day. Triple Se7en is more forgiving in that respect, but still, I clean my rifle… If your getting good accuracy with the Pyrodex then remember that and keep a pound of that around.
