If you are driving, you can park along Kent Street and climb up the Agar Steps, or park along Watson Road or Argyle Street and walk up along Watson Road to Observatory Hill. There is a caveat though. Street parking along Kent, Watson and Argyle is limited to 2 hours only both weekends and weekdays.

When was the Sydney Observatory built?
The Sydney Observatory built in 1857 to 1859 was a well-known landmark and soon gave its name to the hill on which it stood. The earliest European development on Observatory Hill was the construction of the first windmill by Irish convict John Davis in 1796.
