How does Sky Broadband Connect to my house?
Routers. As well as a telephone line running into your home, you’ll also need a router to get Sky broadband up and running. Sky now offers just two routers – the Sky Broadband Hub and the Sky Q Hub – and they are usually sent out in the post for you to set them up yourself.
Do I need an engineer to install Sky Fibre?

When you sign up to the Essential Broadband service, you’ll get the Sky Hub 4 router (SR203). This allows you to share your broadband connection with up to 64 devices using dual-band Wi-Fi. You’ll also get 4 Gigabit Ethernet sockets for connecting wired devices to your network.

Simply unplug the router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug back in. You can also press the reboot button on the back of the hub. It’ll take a minute or two for your router to start working again, so don’t panic if you don’t have any success immediately.

How do I use my Sky Hub as a modem only?
All you need to do is put your WiFi router into bridge mode. Modem-only mode is not supported by the Sky Hubs and neither is bridge mode. You can, however, enable bridge mode on the WiFi router and share the Ethernet port with the Sky Hub. To do this you are going to need an Ethernet cable.
