Hunee is a good eater. He comes from a grey and boring city, where heavy industrialization and green forests go hand in hand. In his teenage years, he used to colour this environment with rap and soul music.

Now being a Berlin resident for almost ten years – he eats bumpin’ disco for breakfast, heats up deep jackin’ music for lunch and slows it soulfully down for dinner. In the night he prefers to spend his time cookin a special meal on the turntables. He is a good swimmer too – when he’s out of the water, he makes records for labels like feel music, w.t. records, internasjonal and retreat.

Before today there was yesterday and after tomorrow is the future. Elyte and Cnyce's paths were crossed for all time when a Sun Ra light beam sent from Saturn collided with the P-Funk Mothership and sent them tumbling to earth. Now, Soul Clap time travels on a musical spaceship of dopeness...

By harnessing the past Soul Clap looks to the future, with forward thinking productions, remixes and edits, creative DJ sets and some of the USA's best dance music events. With the city of Boston firmly in their grasp they organize the highly praised Dancing On The Charles and, and every Wednesday they host Midweek Techno, the area's longest running techno night.

Soul Clap's training goes beyond history lessons to mastering all the elements of the DJ and producer: knowledge, mixing, programming, performance and experience. They honed their knowledge by teaching a university course about dance music at Tufts University. Soul Clap themselves learned that "house wears many hats" and were instilled with the sounds of New York, Chicago, Detroit and Philadelphia while fostering an addiction to crate-digging, that has become a worldwide quest to acquire the best music.

Soul Clap released their first 12" records on Airdrop Records, "The Giraffe", "die Ente" and “Puppy Crack” and then spread their wings with a number of edits and remixes on Brooklyn’s Wolf + Lamb. With more material coming soon on Culprit, AUX-Rec, Glass Table, Magic Bag, Rebirth and new Wolf + Lamb offshoot, Double Standard and a busy touring schedule already in place, the boys aren't slowing down in 2010.

We want to help bring back the spontaneity and freedom of live performance and recordings. We want to celebrate the raw physicality of the music, and the dj who still likes to mix. ROSS Since, 1997, Ross has been in the background of the westcoast canadian techno scene, particularly the Victoria family that included Mathew Jonson, Cobblestone Jazz, The Mole, and Hrdvsion. In 1998, he released the now out-of-print compilation album “Garden City Dubs", that featured first material by Mathew Jonson, and Cobblestone Jazz. He left for California in ‘98, but kept his finger on the pulse as the art director for Itiswhatitis Recordings. While in the Bay Area, he listened mostly to soul,rap and early american techno music. Heavily influenced by his time spent in the U.S., he started to develop a musical aesthetic, which he is now ready to express. YOUNG FLORENT Florent moved to Vancouver from Switzerland to attend art school. He began to get into making techno. Tapping into his French-Martinique roots, Florent quickly developed a unique sound, which caught Ross’s ear. A few live jams later, it was clear that they worked well together, so they got a studio space and got to work. One month later, DOJO had its first release. Florent has only been making music for a year, but his Swiss work-ethic is dangerous

Lae_Titia Chloe started her singing career in the USA 11 years ago at the local school choir in High School. She later played with bands in her home country Germany, came over to Barcelona where she was living for 6 years and got more stage and recording experience. Over the time she was 
searching for this inner spark to show her the way to songwriting and to connecting with her deepest feelings. 
She found it, inspired by a musician, travelling through the world, fascinating her with his stories and reflections about 
life. Her songs are based on dreams, knit together with real life experiences and thoughts about mankind. Right now she has recorded her debut album with own songs, called "Where Greyhound bussed drive”, with the help of great guitarrist Johannes Feige. Half of them were written in Barcelona and the other half in her new home town Berlin

After the heavily buzzing Part 1 last year, Detroit legend Mike Huckaby presents another special set of Sun Ra Classics and Edits on Reel to Reel! It's no surprise after the success of the last party that Amsterdam based label Rushhour/ Kindred Spirit were asking to release his special reel to reel edits on vinyl.
On the 22nd of may would have been Sun Ra´s birthday, which turns this event into a little birthday tribute as well.

Mike will be joined by Nottinghams very own Red Rack'em, heavily supported by Gilles Peterson and well known for his eclectic and unique mixes. Rack'em will be playing a special set of his favorite tracks and biggest influences,
Berlin based Richard Zepezauer will once again be digging deep in his crates of beloved jazz and rare grooves.

Another musical adventure for open ears and the real heads outta there!

Nach der ersten Sun Ra Nacht mit Detroit Legende Mike Huckaby im Oktober letzten Jahres hat sich einiges entwickelt. So erscheinen Mike Huckabys auf dem Abend vorgestellten Sun Ra Reel to Reel Edits in Kürze auch in Vinylform auf dem Amsterdamer Prestigelabel Rushhour / Kinderd Spirit als 12“ Maxi. (Watch out!)
Man darf erneut darauf gespannt sein wenn Mike Huckaby seine liebsten Sun Ra Stücke in Form eigener neuer Edits von seiner Bandmaschine spielt. Das die verstorbene Jazz Legende Sun Ra am 22.Mai seinen Geburtstag feiern würde, lässt die heutige Party auch noch zu einem kleinen Geburtstags Tribute mutieren.

Weiterer Gast des heutigen Abends ist der aus Nottingham stammende DJ und Produzent Red Rack´em, über den sein größter supporter DJ Gilles Peterson sagt „he´s not being able to put a foot wrong right now’. Er ist bekannt für seine außergewöhnlichen und vielseitigen DJ sets, welche heute ausdrücklich mit einer sehr persönlichen Auswahl mit den für ihn einflussreichsten Tracks, über alle Genregrenzen und Zeitepochen hinweg, gespickt sein wird. Wer seine vielseitigen Sets kennt weiss was das heisst! Ein echtes Fest!
