Joost Dulac Ready to Jack Live

Written by  Dizzy
Joost Dulac is back to his residency on Jack the Box with your host Bobby Starrr Live from Berlin and Amsterdam. Tune IN! Wednesday at 20:00 for the interactive show.

3 hours = 2 djs Live n Direct from Berlin and Amsterdam

Curated by Bobby Starrr

Live In House Guest:

Our man in the DAM, dj Joost Dulac (Fatal Music / Drum Mode / 90 Watts, Amsterdam, Holland)

Dulac, real name Joost van der Meer, was born in Enschede Holland, in 1976. While growing up, he was listening to hiphop music. He got his first turntable (without pitch-control)from his grandma, and bought the other one, second hand. Still listening to the radio,he heard weird kind of music on German radio frequencies, what was later called 'house' music. In 1988, he bought his first house record. After this he was hooked! At that point, house music became a part of his life.

His first payed gig was in 1994 at a local club in Enschede. After that, Dulac got contacts in Germany and soon after that, he performed all over Germany Holland and Norway. After several years playing house music, Dulac was ready for the producing-business.

He did some studiotime with a well known dj in Holland, learning to use the tools. After a period of studio-sessions,the 'boy-from-the-east' decided that it was time to build his own home studio, where he produced several house, tribal, tech-house,3 EP's and mega-club-bomba's on labels such as Fatal-music, 90Watts,Open Bar,Chega-records and DrumMode.

He remixed several artists from allover in the likes of Angel Moraes, BAM from New York,dj Tomer,Mario Calegari, Jaimy (Fatal-music) and Phil T Project feat D'Layna. More artists are interested in the typical 'Dulac-sound' and ask him for remixes. The sound of Dulac can people describe as house-music with several influences as techhouse, deephouse and techno. But the most important thing in the tracks is the rhythm! Dj's in the likes of Laurent Garnier, Danny Tenaglia, Angel Moraes,Joey Negro, dj Behrouz, Sandy Rivera and the top dj's in Holland are playing Dulac-records. Together with his mate Dutchican Soul aka Niel'c ,he remixed the American top-artist,Noa Tylo's 'Let's do it!' and got into the Billboard 100 as the highest entrance!

As the sound of house is changing, Dulac also changes his style all the time. Look out for his current releases on various world wide labels.

Jack the Box Live from Berlin and Amsterdam will air Wednesday April 25th at 20:00, and repeat Thursday at 10:00.
