From Gothenburg, Sweden, Joel Alter has his roots in the vibrant Gothenburg music scene of the late 80's.

Inspired by the funkmovement and the growing rave scene, he started dj-ing in 1995. Joel Alters style is diverse and he refuses to be pigeonholed. He has released his music on Gigolo Records and M-nus. In 2011 he finished 'Mod', an album with friend Henrik Jonsson which was released last October on Swedish label Kontra-Musik to high acclaims which entered the top 10 album of the years chart on most electronic medias.

In December Joel was back on Bass Culture Records following up his 2010 hit "I Feel You". "Rules Of Love" features the voice of one of Joel's oldest Berlin friends Eric D Clark and remixes from Dj Qu and Franck Roger who liked the original so much that he asked label boss D'Julz to remix the track.
